Our Mission
The purpose of Franklin-Southampton Concert Association is to serve the people of Franklin and Southampton County, as well as of ever widening adjacent areas, by offering a variety of quality performing artists, in a locally accessible venue and at a price affordable to all citizens. Its purpose is to encourage an interest in the best of all types of music.
Our History
The Franklin-Southampton Concert Association (formerly the Franklin-Southampton Community Concert Association) is in its 41st consecutive season. The roots of the organization can be traced to the Franklin Community Concert Association which had functioned in the 1940s and 1950s, offering a solely classical series.
Each of our artists is carefully chosen to provide the highest quality entertainment available to the Franklin and Southampton communities. The artists we choose have appeared at Carnegie Hall, on Broadway, at major sporting events and have won prestigious awards worldwide.
The success of our organization has been accomplished by an entirely volunteer administrative staff whose members not only donate their time but most of their out-of-pocket expenses so that administrative costs can be kept to a minimum. We seek to provide a great entertainment value while supporting the arts in our community.
